Although this free, online version is from a very old edition, it is still useful for finding older, classic quotations.

Although the site refers to some material found only in the printed version of the encyclopedia, this free resource is still useful in identifying the meaning and history of many symbols (e.g., ankh, dagger, pentagram, zodiac).
