More than 3,000 books online! NAP publishes the reports issued by the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the Institute of Medicine, and the National Research Council. Although the site will be happy to sell you physical copies, you can read many (but not all) of the books online for free. Look for the "FREE!" link.

StateHealthFacts.org, from the Kaiser Family Foundation, is designed to provide up-to-date and easy-to-use health data relating to more than 400 health topics for all 50 states. Topics include: demographics, health, health policy, health coverage and financing, state legislation, and more. The site is easy to use and provides nicely formatted information which can even be downloaded easily.
